Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySTELLA MYSYK May 10, 1917 - November 25, 2010 Stella passed away peacefully at Extendicare Preston in Saskatoon. A memorial service and reception will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, December 23, 2010, at Acadia-McKague's Funeral Centre with Rev. Don Byrt of St. Stephen's Anglican Church officiating. Inurnment will take place at the Columbarium at St. John's Cathedral. Stella was born in Winnipeg. She moved to Vita, Manitoba as an adult to work as a secretary in the local hospital. She married Jarvis Mysyk in 1941. After the Second World War, they moved to Emerson where they raised their family. The family moved to Winnipeg in 1970. Stella lived in Winnipeg until 1992 (when Jarvis passed away) and then moved to Saskatoon where she lived with her son and his family for 12 years. Stella resided at Extendicare Preston for the last six years. Stella is survived by her son Kim, his wife Deborah, and their daughters in Saskatoon, and her daughter Avis Mysyk of Sydney, NS. Stella will be fondly remembered by her children, daughter-in-law and grandchildren as a loving mother and grandmother who cared greatly for her family. The family would like to express special thanks to the management and staff at Extendicare Preston who ensured that Stella was very well looked after during her stay there. A permanent Guest Book will be available on-line at remembering.ca for anyone who would like to sign and leave condolences. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to either the Alzheimer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Arrangements have been entrusted to Acadia-McKague's Funeral Centre 955-1600
