EUGENIA OWCHAR Eugenia Owchar of Winnipeg, MB and formerly of Canora, SK, passed away suddenly at the Victoria General Hospital in Winnipeg on December 8, 2010 at the age of 96 years. Eugenia was a gentle person with a wonderful sense of humour. She made many friends throughout her life and will be sadly missed by those who loved her. Eugenia was predeceased by her husband Steve; two sisters: Marion and Bernice, and by her parents John and Pauline Paradoski. She is survived by her loving daughters: Elaine of Edmonton, AB and Marlene (Horace) of Winnipeg, MB; grand-children: Janet of Edmonton, Owen (Christine) of Sherwood Park, AB, and Jason and Jillian, both of Winnipeg, as well as great-grand-children Vanessa, Sarah, Cassandra and Connor. The Funeral Service was held on Tuesday, December 14, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. from Leson's Funeral Home, Canora, with Rev. Catherine Pace officiating. Interment followed in the Canora Cemetery. Those wishing to make expressions of sympathy may make donations to St. Andrew's United Church, Canora, SK or the Golden Door Geriatric Centre, Winnipeg, MB, as tokens of remembrance in memory of Eugenia. Arrangements were entrusted to LESON'S FUNERAL HOME, Canora, SK (306-563-5671).
