OLIVE JULIETTE EWACHA (MIAULT) With her loving family surrounding her, Olive Ewacha peacefully passed on December 15, 2010. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend. Olive was born on September 1, 1925, in The Pas, Manitoba. In 1945 Olive married her husband of 53 years, Peter and raised seven children. After many moves, the family settled in Winnipeg, Manitoba where Olive continued caring for children as a Foster Mother. Outside of the home, she was known as the local AVON lady. Olive enjoyed playing bingo, collecting coins, (she was the first at the bank for any new releases to pass on to all), crocheting gifts for family and friends and hats for CancerCare Manitoba. She especially enjoyed her plants and nightly get together with her friends at Lion's Place. One of Olive's most prized possessions was her collection of several hundred salt and pepper shakers from around the world. Olive was predeceased by her husband Peter (1998), her daughter Peggy (1975), granddaughter Lee-Ann (1977), her parents Alphonse and Eugenie Miault, her sister Helen and brothers Gerry and Leo. Olive is survived by and will be deeply missed by her children; Gloria (Hank), Linda (George), Barbara (Wayne), Dani, Christine, and Rick; grandchildren; Rhonda (Allen), Kevin (Hamilton), Ken, Tanis (Tim), Kyle (Barb), Jason (Oihana), Elliot (Sandra), Lacey and Chrissy (Mike); great-grandchildren; Danielle (Neil), Derek (Ashlee), Dannalee, Brittaney, Justin, Jessica and Viena; special nephew Danny (Velma) Miechkota and family, as well as numerous family and friends. The family would like to thank the Home Care workers and staff at Lion's Place as well as Dr. P. Kuegle and the 3rd floor staff at Concordia Hospital for all their kindness and support. In accordance with Olive's wishes, cremation and a private Family Service has taken place. Those we love don't go away, They walk beside us every day, Unseen, unheard, but always near, Still loved, still missed, and very dear. KORBAN FUNERAL CHAPEL 956-2193
