TIMOTHY JAMES SLOAN FORREST 1952 2010 It is with sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, son, brother and friend. Tim passed away peacefully after a courageous and dignified struggle with cancer. Tim took life's challenges like a man, which he truly was. Wife Gabby was at his side and many family members and friends were with her and Tim in spirit when he died at Riverview in Winnipeg. Tim was well loved and respected by the people he knew and will carry on without him; mother Enyd Forrest, Tim's wife Gabrielle (Gaby) Isaac, together for years and married this past October, brothers Ed and family in Calgary, Ian and family in Winnipeg, Don in Winnipeg and sister Chloe and family in Vancouver. Tim was predeceased by his father Rod Forrest (1991) and brother Patrick (1973). Tim lived his life in St. James Assiniboia, graduating from John Taylor Collegiate and University of Winnipeg where he achieved his bachelor's degrees in science and anthropology. Tim was a smart man and quick learner; he excelled in his various studies. Tim also loved the outdoors and our family hunting lodge, Lo-Duck Lodge near St. Ambroise, Mb. Lo-Duck gave Tim and us all a chance to hunt the odd duck, but more importantly bond with, nature, family and friends. Tim was an avid supporter / volunteer with Ducks Unlimited and together with family and friends ran the very successful annual Woodlands Sporting Clay Shoot, one of the largest clay shooting events in North America. Professionally Tim was a partner with father Rod as Independent Roofing Consultants in Winnipeg. After father Rod passed, brother Ian joined Tim as partners in TJ Forrest Company Ltd., a well-respected name in the Canadian Roofing Industry. Tim loved and was quite good at his life's work; his many clients and friends are testimony to his personal and career successes, which were many. Our family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Riverview Health Centre, 3 East, for their care, gentleness and understanding. In lieu of flowers, the family would encourage a donation to, cancer research, Riverview PCH or Ducks Unlimited Woodlands Committee. A private family graveside celebration of Tim's life will be held at Chapel Lawn in Winnipeg this week. An opportunity for family, friends and colleagues to honour Tim's life will be announced in the near future. Chapel Lawn 885-9715
