Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryVERA JULIA GRASSI (nee MIRONUK) After a lengthy illness on Saturday, December 18, 2010, Vera Grassi passed away at the Seven Oaks Hospital in her 73rd year. Remaining to forever cherish Vera's memory will be her loving husband and best friend, Sam; daughter Joanne (Ernie); grandchildren Eric (Rosemarie) and Neil (Sydney); great-grandchildren, Serena, Leo and Brenden; as well as her brothers George Mironuk (Helen), late Fred Mironuk (Sheila), Ed Mironuk (late Shirley) and Colombe Mironuk; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her loving parents Julia and William Mironuk. Vera's whole world was her family. She was famous for her delicious cabbage rolls and her baking was enjoyed by all who knew her. Knitting was her passion and all members of the family reaped the benefits. Vera had a great love and fondness for animals and every seed she ever planted grew. Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. in St. Paul the Apostle Church, 2400 Portage Avenue with Rev. José Eduardo Medeiros, presiding. The family would like to express special thanks to Vera's niece, Barbie Mironuk, for her tender, loving care giving over the last several years; to Dr. Armstrong for the special care he gave to her; as well as a special thank you to the staff of the dialysis unit of the Seven Oaks General Hospital for their excellent care. In lieu of flowers, donations in Vera's memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 200 - 6 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6.
