NELLIE FRANZ (nee SZMCZYNA) It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Nellie Franz at the Arborg Personal Care Home on Monday, December 20, 2010. Predeceased by her parents and her brother Emil. Survived by her children Joseph and Sophie, and her sister Anne Nowoselski; also by many nieces, nephews and sister-in-law Jean Szmczyna. Nellie was born in Poland, then came to Canada with her parents and siblings and settled in Morweena. In 1948 she married Tony Franz and together they farmed and raised their two children Joseph and Sophie. She spent the last six years of her life at the Arborg Personal Care Home. The family would like to thank the staff at the Arborg Personal Care Home for their compassionate and wonderful care. Cremation has taken place, no formal service will be held. A family graveside service will be held at a later date. If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to the Arborg Personal Care Home. God has you in his keeping We have you in our hearts.
