DENIS LESTER BARRE May 7, 1952 - December 21, 2010 In loving memory of Denis, who passed away suddenly on December 21, 2010 at the St. Boniface Hospital at the age of 58. Denis was predeceased by his parents and his first wife, Irene. He leaves to mourn, his children Marcel (Terri), Chantal (Darren) Plaetinck and Daniel. Also left to cherish his memory are his grandchildren, Shiann, Caleb, Teagan, Xavier, Winston and Véronica. Denis also leaves behind his sister, Laurette (Renée) Fredette and his loving wife Linda and her sons, Elvin, Stephen and Daniel. Denis was born in St. Rose du Lac, Manitoba. He worked at the St. Boniface Hospital for over 30 years. He was an active member of the Knights of Columbus and also a member of the Brigade de la Riviere Rouge. Prayer Vigil will take place on Monday, December 27, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Emile Church (556 St. Anne's Rd.). Funeral Mass will take place on Tuesday, December 28, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Emile Church. Private family interment will take place in Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association (200-310 Broadway, Winnipeg, MB R3C 0S6).
