JACOB M. KLASSEN Peacefully, on December 23, 2010 at Concordia Hospital, J. M. Klassen, beloved husband of Betty, died at the age of 81. He is survived by two daughters Martha (Harold Koslowsky) and Lorna (Harry Froese) and their families, and three stepsons Al (Audrey), Ray (Donna) and Stan (Sally) Wiebe and their families. Also survived by three brothers Ernest (Darlene), Walter (Bettie), Helmuth (Agnes) and many other relatives and friends. J.M. was predeceased by his first wife Katherine in 1996 and two siblings in infancy. Prior to retirement he was a teacher and worked with Mennonite Central Committee for many years. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 28, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at River East Mennonite Brethren Church, 755 McLeod Ave., with interment to follow in Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. Viewing Monday, December 27 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. (with devotional at 7:30 p.m.) at the River East Mennonite Brethren Church, and at the church prior to the service. If friends desire, donations may be made in J. M.'s memory to a charity of your choice.
