LORNA HELEN HARMAN Peacefully, on December 21, 2010 at the age of 83, Lorna passed away at Heritage Lodge in Winnipeg. Lorna was predeceased by her loving husband Saul on August 17, 1993. Also, her parents Colin Leslie Adair and Ethel Mae, brothers Laurie, Bill and Ernie, brothers-in-law Michael Wodinski (Iris) and William Strycharz (Eurie), sister-in-law Marion (Jim). Lorna is survived and lovingly remembered by her daughter Linda Borowski (Bob), brothers Tom (Sophie), Jim, Carter and John (Mathilde), sisters Iris Wodinski and Eurie Strycharz, sisters-in-law Joyce (Laurie) and Fern (Bill), many nieces and nephews, especially Fred Adair and Carol Adair. Lorna had a difficult life with much of her youth spent in the hospital. Although times were tough, Lorna faced life head on without complaint. She was a private person but her door was always open and she enjoyed company and cooking a nice meal. Lorna was a generous soul and willing to help her family and others at any time. The happiest time in Lorna's life was the 29 years she had with husband Saul. They worked together, mostly in the health care field and enjoyed getting away to the lake and other travels when they could. The family would like to thank Dr. Smart and the staff at Heritage Lodge for caring for Lorna over the years. In lieu of flowers, donations to The Alzheimer Society of Winnipeg are encouraged and appreciated, Unit 10 - 120 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB, R3C 4G2. Viewing will be held on Thursday, December 30, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. with a graveside service to follow at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave., Reverend Donald McIntyre of the United Church of Canada will officiate.
