PETER NEUFELD It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden and peaceful passing of Peter Neufeld at the age of 84. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 63 years, Ann, daughters Martie Martin (Terry) and Eva Hildebrand, grandsons David (Monique), Corey (Pam), Ken (Azadeh), Matt and James and great-grandsons Matt, Adam and Connor. He has seven surviving brothers Harry (Dorothy), George (Maryann), Abe (Eunice), Herman (Helen), Edd (Frieda), Dave (Betty), and Arron and two sisters Tina (Jake) Kehler and Agatha (John) Kehler. He was predeceased by both his parents, four brothers, John, Neil, Jake and Ben and two sisters, Mary and Helen. He came to work in Winnipeg in 1946 and started at Dominion Bronze. In 1953 he started working at Western Tools where he worked through the ranks and into upper management. He bought a machine shop in 1974 and ran it under the name of Alwest Industries. For 31 years it was very successful and his pride and joy, but, in 2005 it was time to retire and he sold the business. He loved fishing, hunting, golf and his weekly breakfast with his friends. He was loved and admired by his family, relatives and friends and he will be truly missed. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, December 31, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main Street with interment and reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 6 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB, R3L 0K6. Glen Eden Funeral Home 338-7111
