She attended South Head School and remained on the farm with her parents until illness forced them to move to Eriksdale. After her Mom and Dad passed away, she moved to Winnipeg. She became an L.P.N. in 1972, and was a nurse for over 20 years. She loved nature, rides in the country, visits to Assiniboine Park, enjoyed wild flowers and her own house plants. She will be remembered by friends and family for her kind, compassionate heart. Audrey is survived by her brother Lawrence Murphy (Anita); sister-in-law Laura Murphy. She is survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, great-great-nieces and nephews too numerous to mention by name. She will also be sadly missed by her close friends and neighbours, Al, Bruce, Joyce, Elva, Gwen and Earl, Darlene, Pauline and the Winters. Audrey was predeceased by her parents, George and Grace Murphy; sisters, Annie, Alice, Barbara and Margaret; brothers, Ray, Bill, Fred, John, George and Glenn. While Audrey courageously battled cancer, she was inspired by God to write many poems that have been an encouragement to those who have read them. She was a member of Calvary Temple in Winnipeg. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 30, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the Eriksdale Recreation Centre, Eriksdale, MB.
