RAYMOND GEORGE JOSEPH PARADIS April 9, 1926 - December 24, 2010 Suddenly after a brief battle with cancer our beloved father, husband, grandfather, and great- grandfather passed away at the Concordia Hospital at the age of 84 years. George was predeceased by his wife Victoria, father Jean-Baptise Paradis, mother Mary (nee Sharkie) and six brothers. Left to mourn George's passing are his son Jim and daughter Darlene (Peter), six sisters and one brother, grandchildren Megan, Tyson, Madison, Austin and great- grandsons Logan and Noah. Dad and Mom were married on June 28, 1952, George worked a total of 36 years broken service at the CN Rail, three years as a brakeman out of Redditt, Ontario and 33 years at the Transcona Shops from 1947 to 1985. George got great enjoyment from gardening, listening to music, playing his guitar and violin and spending time with his grandchildren and great- grandsons. He relished his time at the CN continually telling stories about his years there. He enjoyed puttering around the house and helping his son Jim and daughter Darlene with their homes and yards. Viewing will be held on Thursday, December 30, 2010 in the Wheeler Funeral Chapel at 7:00 p.m. Funeral service will follow on Friday, December 31, 2010 also at the Wheeler Funeral Chapel, 211 Regent Avenue, West at 9:30 a.m. FUNERAL ARRANGEMENTS IN CARE OF: WHEELER FUNERAL CHAPEL 211 REGENT AVENUE WEST AT BOND ST. 224-1525
