Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryNORMA MCMAHON Peacefully, with family members at her side, Mom passed away on December 19, 2010 at Seven Oaks General Hospital. Mom was born October 27, 1922 in Emerson, Manitoba, the only child of Keith and Mabel Witty. She married her high school sweetheart, Johnny Albert in September 1942. Shortly afterward, he was posted overseas with the R.C.A.F. where he was subsequently killed in action. Mom then enlisted in the Air Force and was stationed in Moncton, New Brunswick, where she met our Dad. They were married in June of 1945 in Toronto where they began their life together. In 1950, Dad was transferred to Winnipeg and it became their permanent home. Mom was predeceased by her parents, her husband Bud and an infant son, Norman Keith. She is survived by her four children, Judy (Vaughn), Maureen (Jim), Andy (Leanne) and Doug (Mac), as well as her beloved grandchildren, Lainie, Kaitlin, Matthew, Jessica and Steven. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Jean, two nieces and a nephew. Mom was the heart and soul of our family, the ever strong force that held us together. She was a trusted confidante, always ready to listen to our problems and share in our joys. Her family was everything to her and she was everything to us. Our family would like to thank Agnieszka San Juan, Alex Kirkpatrick and Doctors Bialy, Silha and Taraska for the kindness and compassion they showed Mom. We also wish to thank the nursing staff at Seven Oaks Hospital and everyone at Concordia Village who helped to make Mom's last weeks so comfortable. A memorial service was held on December 22, 2010 at Chapel Lawn and cremation has taken place. If friends so desire, donations may be made to The Canadian Lung Association or The Salvation Army in Mom's memory. Chapel Lawn 885-9715
