Sandy leaves behind to cherish her memory, her loving husband of 41 years Alfred (Buddy), daughter Tracy and her husband Dwight, son Todd and his wife Danielle, grandchildren Kyle, Cody, Nicholas, Marshall and Daniel, sister Marilyn (Hugh), sister Barb (Barry), sister Dorothy (Richie), brother Richard (Sharon), sister Val, sister Bev (Bill), sister Doreen (Clyde), sister-in-law Linda, sister-in-law Margaret (Steini), sister-in-law Gladys (Bobby), sister-in-law Pat, sister-in-law Irene, sister-in-law Rose (Roger), as well numerous aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and family friends. She is joining in heaven her parents Arnold and Anne Bardarson, brother Arni Bardarson, father-in-law Halldor Eastman, mother-in-law Herdis Eastman, and brother-in-law Dori Eastman. She was born February 11, 1946 along the shores of Lake Winnipeg in Hnausa, Manitoba, the fifth of nine children in the Bardarson family. She lived most of her life in Calgary raising her family and making many great friends. She spent countless hours as a passionate spectator, watching her children play numerous sports such as hockey and fastball. The past three years she lived in Black Diamond to be closer to her twin grandsons, to once again live in the arena and to enthusiastically cheer their team on. Her true passion for life were her five grandsons, always making time in her life for them, whether at home in Black Diamond or traveling north to Clyde to visit her youngest grandsons. These precious memories of her love and support for her family will be always cherished. My wife, our Mom, our Amma, you were strong to the end, we love you! Our family will be forever grateful for the caring attention she received from all the staff at the Rockyview General Hospital, Unit 83.
