FRANCIS JAMES ALEXANDER It is with great sorrow the family announces the sudden passing (Cardiac Arrest) of Francis James Alexander. He died on December 6, 2010 at his farm home at Lenore, Manitoba. Funeral service was held December 18, 2010 at Carscadden Funeral Chapel (Virden) with Pastor Jason Hodson officiating. Interment was at Breadalbane Cemetery (Lenore). Francis (born June 13, 1933) was the first born child of Francis Clair and Edith (Bowes) Alexander. He will be lovingly remembered by his sisters Joyce (Allan) Heaman and family and Bernice (Cliff) Heaman and family. Francis was predeceased by parents Clair and Edith, grand parents Frank and Catherine (Tiffen) Alexander and Charlie James and Martha (Switzer) Bowes. Francis was a farmer/rancher and was proud to be farming his great-grandfather Jackson and great uncles Billy and Alex Tiffen's homesteads. He had a deep attachment to the land. After schooling in Lenore and Kenton, he completed the diploma course in agriculture at the University of Manitoba. He loved baseball and was an avid Blue Bomber fan. The joy of Francis' existence was his nieces and nephews and extended families. HE WILL LIVE IN THEIR HEARTS FOREVER!
