Georgina will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her husband of 45 years Duncan; children Danette (Gord), Cameron (Sherri), Jodine (Jaret); grandchildren Rochelle (Darren), Justin, Brenna, Alexis, Neeley, Easten, Kingston; great-grandchildren Keelin, Kaylynne, Kydon; and mother-in-law Lilly Rousseau; as well as nieces, nephews and close friends. She is predeceased by her mother Miriam McDougall, father Cecil McDougall, and father-in-law William Rousseau. Georgina was born in Winnipeg. She met Dad at a Junior Hockey Game and one year later they were married which started an 11 year journey of being a Hockey Wife. They lived in the U.S. for a number of years, during this time she lovingly raised her growing family. The family settled back in Winnipeg after hockey. She was a doting and devoted mother, grandma, grams, great-grandma and was involved in volunteering in all the kids activities. She was recognized by the city for her volunteer work. The household was never lacking in pets from hamsters, guinea pigs, rabbits, puppies and fish. One of her passions was arts and crafts which she enjoyed doing with good friend Evelyn and she was an avid sports fan. The family wishes to express our sincere thanks to family and friends for their prayers and support and to the responders for their compassion and care. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Canadian Diabetes Association or Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of your choice. I'm very sorry to learn of Georgina's passing ....... I'm sure you were a wonderful wife, Mother, Grandmother and friend ...... I very much regret we never had the opportunity to meet. My father, Alfred Mae McDougall, was Cecil McDougall's brother and Wilfred McDougall, another of Cecil's brothers was my Uncle. There were other siblings as well. - Posted by: Barbara Bain (nee McDougall) (Cousin) on: Apr 27, 2014

My dearest Mom, I miss you just as much or more than when you left me. It is now 3 Years ago, the kids are beautiful and growing, your little red head is not red he is bright orange. If only I could hear your voice, life would be more calming , you will always be my inspiration, my rock, and my strength. Thank you my dear mommy for putting me on a pedestal and giving me the strength to carry on and be the best mommy I can be. I love you mom.
