EVELYN KARDASHINSKI Peacefully on Thursday, December 30th, 2010 with her family at her side at the Gimli Community Health Center in Gimli MB, Evelyn Kardashinski passed away at the age of 74. Evelyn was predeceased by her husband Rudy and parents Walter and Caroline Zebrynski. She is survived by her two sons Leonard (Dawn) of Winnipeg and Brent (Tina) of Nanaimo, BC.; grandchildren, Sheena Kardashinski, Charlene Chin Suche (Doug) and a great-granddaughter Alexis; sisters, Irene Shymko of Edmonton, Jocelyn (Tony) of Arnes and brother Norman (Brenda) of Winnipeg, plus several nieces and nephews. Evelyn was born on May 9th, 1936 in Arnes, Manitoba. She married Rudy Kardashinski in 1953 and raised two sons in Finns, Manitoba. She was an excellent cook and loved gardening. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, January 5th, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church, in Gimli. A viewing will be held before the service at 9:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery, Finns, MB. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to the wonderful nursing staff at the Gimli Community Health Center for caring for Evelyn over the past few years.
