DOREEN MILDRED PARENTEAU July 24, 1945 - December 30, 2010 Doreen's spirit left us to be with her Mom, Agnes Parenteau, on December 30, 2010 after a brief illness with her family and friends by her side. She is survived by husband, Ed Elliott, daughter Lori, sons, Calvin and Harold, grandson, Tyler, sisters, Lucy and Vivian, brothers, Peter, Chucky and Billy as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. Doreen was born in Winnipegosis, MB and grew up in Camperville, MB, finally settling in Winnipeg with Ed. Mom was a strong-willed woman with a Free Spirit. She enjoyed travelling throughout the States with her family, visiting new places, theme parks, riding roller coasters and having fun. She loved spending summers in Bissett fishing and picking blueberries. Each week, Mom looked forward to spending time with her friends playing her Bingo; calling it a rip-off but, eager to go back and try again. Memorial service will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 7, 2011 at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Doreen's memory to Lung Association Manitoba.
