Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryPEARL LYSAICHUK (SITAR) It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Pearl Lysaichuk (Sitar), age 93, on Monday, December 20, 2010 at St. Boniface Palliative Care Unit. Pearl was born near Libau, Manitoba on November 4, 1917. She was the youngest of six daughters and one son born to Eva and Mike Sitar. She moved to Winnipeg as a young girl and eventually married Michael Lysaichuk in 1943. They moved to St. Ouens and raised two daughters, Marlene and Angela. She worked for many years at the Beausejour Drug Store. Pearl loved entertaining family and friends. She became known far and wide for her excellent cooking and baking skills. There are few that have not tasted her wonderful perogies and cabbage buns. She loved to garden and as long as she could, she maintained their lovely home in St. Ouens even after Michael passed in 1996. Finally in 2000 she moved to Winnipeg where she divided her time between her apartment and Seattle. Pearl was predeceased by her husband Michael, siblings Kay, Anne, Mary, Michael, Evelyn and Sophie. Pearl's memory will be cherished by her daughters Marlene and Angela, her grandsons Gordon (Candice) and Brad (Gael), and great-grandsons Seth and Fenn. A celebration of her life will be held at Harrow United Church, 955 Mulvey Ave., on Sunday, January 9 at 2:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Pearl's memory to the St. Boniface Hospital Foundation Palliative Care Endowment Fund, Room D1003 - 409 Tache Ave., Winnipeg, MB R2H 2A6. We would like to extend our sincere thanks to the dedicated and caring doctors, nurses and staff of the St. Boniface Palliative Care Unit.
