Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryROBERT (BOB) JANSEN It is with great sadness the family announces the peaceful passing of Robert Jansen on Saturday, January 1, 2011 in the St. Boniface Hospital Palliative Care Unit after a courageous battle with cancer. Bob is survived by his loving wife, Michele, of 39 years, his loving daughter Marguerite, and by his son and best friend, Edward. He is also survived by his brother George (Yvonne) Jansen, his sister Irma Trudeau, brother John (Sheila) Jansen, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Bob was born and raised on the family farm south of Cypress River, Manitoba. He was a gentle, quiet man who loved history and had a passion for electronics. The family would like to thank the staff of CancerCare Manitoba at the Health Sciences Centre, as well as the Palliative Care staff at the St. Boniface Hospital. In keeping with Bob's wishes, cremation has taken place, and no formal service will be held. Flowers are gratefully declined, if friends so desire, donations in memory of Bob can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 9Z9, or to a charity of one's choice.
