Cicely was born and lived her entire life in Winnipeg. She began working at Eaton's in the mid 1930s and, in 1939, married the love of her life, William. Together they started their married life in Fort Rouge before moving to Charleswood in 1955. After raising her family, Cicely returned to work at Eaton's until her retirement in 1987. Family was very important to Cicely. She was a kind and loving mother to Carol Anne, Wally, and Tom, and was very proud of their accomplishments. Many will have fond memories of the wonderful gatherings held at her home. Cicely was a life time member of both the Charleswood Branch 100 Royal Canadian Legion Ladies Auxiliary and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police Veterans Association Ladies Auxiliary. She is survived by her loving son Wally (Arnes, Manitoba), sister-in-law Phyllis and many nieces and nephews who will cherish her memory. She was predeceased by her husband William, parents Charlotte and Thomas Wright, sister Beatrice Wills, daughter Carol Anne, and sons Thomas and Perry (predeceased as an infant). The family would like to give special thanks to the 2nd floor staff at Oakview Place for the compassionate care provided to Cicely over the last four and a half years. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 8, 2011 at 12:00 p.m., at the Charleswood United Church, 4820 Roblin Blvd., with Reverend Michael Wilson presiding. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice. Rest in peace, dear Mom, you will be forever missed. Chapel Lawn 885-9715
