CLIFFORD NAPOLEON LANE August 5, 1942 - January 5, 2011 Clifford passed away peacefully at his residence on January 5, 2011. He will be profoundly missed by his sons, Daniel (Amy) and Trevor (Jorn), mother Lucienne, siblings Joan (Laurent), Evelyn (Don), Ed (Colleen), Gerry (Sherry), special friends Anne Marie and Ed, and numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren and stepchildren. He was predeceased by his wife Pearl, father Frank, sister Judy, and brothers Allan and Lloyd. Dad was raised in Abbeyville, Manitoba and moved to Winnipeg in 1956. He studied at Gravelbourg College with the Oblate Fathers. He was later ordained as a lay brother in St. Norbert. As an Orderly at St. Boniface Hospital, he provided outstanding care to his patients for over 30 years. A third level Knight of Columbus, he was a faith filled man who spent a great deal of time studying the Bible and singing in the church choir. He loved dancing and was an avid gardener, an extremely compassionate, kind and caring man, who was always ready to help anyone in need. Dad delighted in well cooked meals, good conversation and laughter shared with family and friends. He cherished the time spent with his beautiful Mother, and relished the time spent with his boys. Teaching us the woods, carpentry, walking the dogs or a quiet ride were among his favorite things. Dad was a truly wonderful man who will be missed. We love you Dad. The family would like to thank Dr. Olinyk, Dr. Minuk and the staff at the Liver Transplant Clinic. Prayers will be held on Monday, January 10 at Wheeler Funeral Chapel, 211 Regent Ave. West at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will follow on Tuesday, January 11 at Blessed Sacrament Church, 710 Roanoke St. at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Chapel Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Clifford's name to the Blessed Sacrament Church. FUNERAL ARRANGEMENTS IN CARE OF: WHEELER FUNERAL CHAPEL 211 REGENT AVENUE WEST AT BOND ST. 224-1525
