He was predeceased by his parents Marcel and Edna; his sisters Jean, Isabel, Theresa; and his brother Art. Roger cherished his family and friends; he was always there for support, for a fan base and/or guidance. He loved to watch his children and grandchildren in whatever endeavours they were taking on. Roger was an avid sports fan and volunteered his time graciously. He spent numerous years volunteering mainly at Alcoholics Anonymous and Health Sciences Centre along with other one time volunteer events such as Operation Red Nose and Christmas Cheer Board, etc. He was surprised and deeply touched to hear that his colleagues at HSC respected him so much that they nominated him as volunteer of the year. Roger spent several years working in Thunder Bay where he met and married Lucille Prokosh in 1964. They relocated to Winnipeg in 1969 where they lived until the present. Roger was an avid fan of baseball both playing in his earlier years and coaching in later years. If there was a baseball game on TV, you could always find Dad watching.
