GLADYS M. WARREN (nee CHASTON) Peacefully on January 1st, 2011 Gladys M. Warren passed away at the age of 102 at the Saanichton Peninsula Hospital Extended Care Unit. She will be missed by her loving daughter Claire Leslie of Brentwood Bay, B.C. and her beloved grandchildren Jim Leslie and his wife Barbara of Tsawwassen, B.C. and Jennifer Leslie and her husband Blair Christensen of Lantzville, B.C. and by her cherished great-grandchildren, Katherine Leslie, and Tara and Amy Christensen. She was predeceased by her devoted husband Harvey in 1967 Gladys was born in Frobisher, SK in 1908 and lived most of her life in Winnipeg. Her many interests included gardening, volunteering, entertaining family and friends and baking special cookies which were shared by many. She moved to Brentwood Bay, B.C. in 1992. A memorial service will be held at First Memorial Funeral Chapel, 4725 Falaise Drive, on Saturday, January 29 at 2:00 p.m. Flowers are gratefully declined. Donations may be made to the Saanichton Peninsula Hospital Extended Care Unit, 2166 Mt. Newton X Rd., Saanichton, BC V8M 2B2. The family gratefully acknowledges the compassionate care given to Gladys by all the staff during the time spent with them.
