EILEEN JOAN MONTAGNON (nee BUTTERWORTH) On January 2, 2011, Joan passed away at the age of 75. Mom was predeceased by her daughter Susan; her parents, Vincent and Ruth; her sister Gail; her niece Marlene; and her ex-husband Albert. Nan has left to mourn her children, Terri (Keith), Danny (Lin), Joanne (Pat), Lorraine (Nick); her brother George; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; son-in-law Keith; many nieces, nephews; cousins; many friends; and her special girl Quita. Joan worked as a secretary for the St. James-Assiniboia School Division for 33 years at Kirkfield Park School for Exceptional Children and at Educational Support Services until her retirement in 2000. She was a Past-President and was an active member in the Manitoba Association of Non-Teaching Employees. She was a true Blue Believer and had season tickets to her beloved Bombers for many years. She loved reading, music, old movies and sports. The family would like to thank her friend Carol and Dr. C. Winogrodzka. In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place. A Funeral Mass will be officiated by Fr. José Eduardo Medeiros on Tuesday, January 11, 2011 at 10:15 a.m. at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 2400 Portage Avenue. Interment will be held at Chapel Lawn Cemetery at a later date. Honorary pallbearers will be her grandsons. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to any of the following: CancerCare Manitoba, Heart and Stroke Foundation or Siloam Mission. Chapel Lawn 885-9715
