She was a foster mother to many children, and enjoyed catering to many weddings for over 25 years at the Sandy Bay First Nation. When catering for a wedding Suzanne took special care to ensure everything was perfect for the reception. Everyone in the community loved her baking which inspired her to conduct a bakery business from her home, loved gardening, and loved listening to Hank Williams Sr. music. She loved her family, and ensured she attended all the special functions for her children and grandchildren. The family made sure not to cross her or you would surely hear about it. She will be sadly missed by all who loved her. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at the Lions Manor in Portage La Prairie for the care they provided to mother during her stay. A wake service will be held at the Amaranth Community Hall on January 9 beginning at 1:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held on January 10 at 1:00 p.m. at the Sandy Bay Church.
