Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEDWARD MARVIN PALAMAR On December 25, 2010 and at home, Edward passed away. Edward was the beloved son of Marion Josie Palamar. He was born on June 17, 1963 in Lynn Lake, Manitoba. Edward graduated with a Bachelor of Science (Medicine) in 1993 and a Bachelor of Science (General) in 1995 from the University of Manitoba. At the University of Winnipeg he was awarded a 4.0 Grade Point Average and was named a Student of Distinction. Edward also achieved a black belt in Chito-Ryu karate. He travelled extensively in Asia, and volunteered with inner city youth. Cremation has taken place. At Edward's request, burial will be in the plot of his grandparents Peter and Katherine Palamar, at Brookside Cemetery. A private service will be held. Donations may be made in Edward's memory to the Winnipeg Humane Society or the Manitoba Schizophrenia Society.

I have only just learned of Ed's death. I met Ed in 1986 in the YMCA in Dacca, Bangladesh. We had an eventful and challenging journey around Bangladesh together and corresponded for a while afterwards. I was sorting through some old papers and came across a letter from him. I decided to try and find him on the Internet and came across his obituary. It saddens me to learn of his death. I only spent a short time with him but got to like him very much.
