Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLEILA (LEE) MCDONALD July 10, 1928 - January 6, 2011 It is with sadness that we announce that Lee passed away on January 6, 2011. Lee was predeceased by her parents Douglas and Leila McLean, her husband Laurence (Larry), sister Margaret Schultz, brothers Robert (Bob) and John (Jack) McLean. She is survived by her daughter Barbara Kehler and son-in-law Joseph Sass, grandson Terry (Suzanne) and great-grandchildren Terrence and Gabrielle. She will be missed by her special niece, Peggy Schultz of Toronto as well as extended family and friends across Canada. Lee always felt blessed with a lifelong friendship with Shirley Matthews and Ben in Vancouver. And she valued Harold Wolch and family in her life. Graduating from Kelvin High School Lee took business courses to work in office administration. By 1968 she was appointed business manager of Corne Lehmann Clinic continuing in that capacity for 28 years. In retirement Lee took a part-time position as administrator of International College of Surgeons (Canada). In 1999 Lee moved to Lions Place where she made many valued friendships. She was Secretary of the Residents Council for four years. Her family wish to thank Lee's Home Care workers at Lions Place. Thank you to those caring people who helped Lee at Victoria Hospital along with Dr. Ray Singer. In accordance with Lee's wishes cremation has taken place, she will be laid to rest beside her husband at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. There will be no formal service. Her family will honour Lee's memory privately. For those wishing to remember Lee, donations to the Manitoba Lung Association, 629 McDermot Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3A 1P6 would be appreciated.
