MARIE IRENE CHERLET (nee Ledoyen) Peacefully, on January 7, 2011, Marie Irene Cherlet (nee Ledoyen) passed away at the Tache Nursing Centre Winnipeg, Manitoba at the age of 98 years, two months short of her 99th birthday. Marie was born in Bruxelles, Manitoba, on March 9, 1912. She was predeceased by her husband Frank in 1999 and she leaves to mourn her passing, her three sons: Marcel (Zulma), Bob (Jeanette), Raymond (Joyce). Grandchildren: Theresa (Rheal), Catherine (David), Michael (Janice), Glen (Nicole), Craig (Lyren), Lesley (Ronald), Brian (Tracy), Great-grandchildren: Rachael, Liana, Liam, Genevieve, Benjamin, Laura, Justin, Andrew, Cole and Caelin. Marie is survived by her sister of 105 years, Rosa Nerynck, her sisters-in-law: Marcella Ledoyen, Rita Cherlet, Laurette Cherlet, brother-in-law George Cherlet, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and her dear friend Millie. Mom will be remembered for her commitment to her family and her pastimes that included crocheting, knitting, reading, search a word and shopping for wool. The family wishes to extend heartfelt thanks and gratitude to the staff of 4ABC at Tache Centre for their support, understanding, and compassion towards Mom and her family. Cremation has taken place. Funeral service will be held at Green Acres on Highway one east Navin Rd, January 12, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. with Father Martin Bradbury officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Tache Centre or the Charity of ones choice.
