Mary was predeceased by her parents, Lillian and Paul Palidwor; husband Harry; and brothers, Harry, Norman, Emil and Walter; daughter-in-law Getta. Mary is survived by her four children, Greg (Angie) Surzyshyn, Fred (Kathi) Surzyshyn, Linda (Ed) Landles and Dan (Joanne) Surzyshyn; grandchildren, Glenn Surzyshyn, Mark (Lisa) Surzyshyn, Karen (Chris) Darazsi, Michelle Surzyshyn, David Landles, Shannon Landles, Brent Landles, Damon Surzyshyn, Cara (Bryan) Surzyshyn-Ruud; great-grandchild Connor Nicholas Surzyshyn-Ruud; brother Ed (Lil) Palidwor. Mary was born at Cook's Creek to Lillian and Paul Palidwor. Mom and Dad were married on October 18, 1936 at which time she moved from Oak Bank to Winnipeg to start her new life with Dad. Mary worked at Sterling Cloak when her and Dad first married and became a full-time housewife once her children were born. Mary went back to work evenings at Perth's once the family was grown. While working at Perth's she met Joyce Wolfe who became a lifelong friend. Mom's hobbies included her need to feed everyone who came through her door. She loved to sew and knit and crochet, making her famous afghans. She also enjoyed bowling at Mosienko's for many years and playing cards at St. Joseph's, also with family. She and Dad socialized and vacationed with Joyce and Steve Wolfe for many years. We would like to express many thanks to Middlechurch Home for their excellent care of Mom during her stay.
