MARGARET ALICE GORRELL (nee MCDONALD) Passed away peacefully January 8, 2011 at Seven Oaks Hospital in Winnipeg. Lovingly remembered and deeply missed by daughter Lori (Reid) Presunka, grandson Jordan Presunka, daughter-in-law Kathy Gorrell, and fondly known as Marnie to her nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband Ernie of 54 years; son Robert Gorrell and granddaughter Nicole Presunka; parents Andy and Mable; brothers George, Archie, Raymond and Edward; and sisters Catherine and Mary. Margaret was born June 4, 1917 and lived in or near Winnipeg all her life - a true homebody. The house on Duffield Street was a gathering spot for family and friends for many years of great meals, card games, laughter and tears - a home to all. Mom loved working with numbers and retired from Revenue Canada in 1981. Mom and Dad enjoyed their retirement at the cottage, travelling and time spent with family and friends. Thank you to the kind and caring staff at Heritage House, most recently Fred Douglas Lodge, and also to the staff at Seven Oaks Hospital. Cremation has taken place and a service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 13, 2011 at Thomson Funeral Home.
