KATHERINE HAYDEN (nee LEVENEC) It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our Mother and Baba, Katherine Hayden, on Sunday, January 9, 2011 at the age of 77 years. Kay is survived by daughters Gail and Pamela (Joe), and her four grandchildren; Joey (Alyssa), Dinine, Jamie and Dana. She also leaves to mourn her passing, brothers Mike (Dorothy) and Johnny (Jean); sister Ann and sisters-in-law Valerie and Betty; many nieces, nephews and special friends. She was predeceased by the love of her life, Jack; her parents Nicholas and Maria; sisters Dorothy and Sophy and brother Peter. Mom was a strong and vibrant woman who lived life to the fullest and on her own terms. She lived and loved with incredible passion and dedication. There wasn't a person, child or animal that wasn't immediately drawn to her charm, kindness and beautiful smile. She had a special way of touching everyone and everything she encountered, and though taken from us too quickly, she leaves behind a legacy that swells our hearts with pride and love. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, January 14, 2011 at 1:30 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street, Winnipeg, with Father Jaroslaw Buciora officiating. Interment will follow at Glen Eden Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Kay's nephews Al Levenec, Ken Levenec, Scott Rey, Marc Levenec, Vincent Levenec and great-nephew Derek Levenec. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations in Kay's memory made to CancerCare Manitoba. Finish that dance with Dad, Mom, and rest in good hands. We love you.
