I met Dan about 17 years ago when our company was working on some Environmental designs. I was a young kid fresh in the company. After some "bad" experiences with contractors someone introduced me (I can't even recall how) to Dan. Over the years he sucessfully helped our company with all sorts of environmental design work. As our company grew and my position changed, we ended up parting ways. I remember those times we spent together fondly because Dan reminded me of my own father (I am 45 years old) and he very much became a mentor to me in several ways. His professionalism and knowledge around legislation/ regulations was something that held him in high esteem in my eyes, and also helped propel my own career. I did not know Dan passed. The last time I saw him was actually at a funeral for a friends father, who worked at Canada Packers. It was nice to see him. I recently looked him up because I had a question and I thought in his "retirement" he might be able to shed some light on the subject matter and I also wanted to simply say "hi". I was saddened to hear of his passing and wanted to let you all know, his legacy is very much alive in well. Thanks.
