Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryFRED (FERDINAND) ZOLONDEK 1929 - 2011 In Portage Hospital on January 11, 2011 at 81 years old Dad left the grasp of his loved ones to be reunited with his wife Mary. He lived a long full life sharing his wisdom and love. Dad fought a courageous battle and was surrounded by those who loved him at the time of his passing. Dad was born in Hazelridge, Manitoba on August 10, 1929 but found his home in West Kildonan where he ran his business Kildonan Cartage and Construction until 1989 when he and Mom retired in Arnes, Manitoba. In Arnes, he lived his dreams. His passion for the country was evident. Dad cleared the land and built a beautiful new home. Being the man he was, work was never done and hence a fishing / swimming pond was built for his children and grandchildren to enjoy. His garden could have fed a small country. He spent years working on his beautiful sanctuary that he built for the pleasure of himself and his family. Those who knew him knew he was living his passion. He leaves to mourn his passing his children, Nadine Zolondek-Cameron (Kenton), Denise Cotter, Lynda Zolondek (Brian), Harvey Wheaton, Marylyn Jesmer, Marlene Bartell (Jack), numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews and brother Joe Zolondek. You will forever be loved, remembered and missed Dad, Grandpa, Uncle, Brother and Friend. Service of Remembrance will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 17, 2011 at Wojcik's Funeral Chapel, 1020 Main St.
