LLOYD ARTHUR PEDERSEN January 31, 1947 - January 11, 2011 Suddenly on Tuesday, January 11, 2011 Lloyd died at the Health Sciences Centre at the age of 63 years. Left to cherish Lloyd's memory is wife Adele of 29 years of marriage; son Adam; mother Stella; brother Fred (Donna); sister Barb (Gene); nieces; nephews; great-nieces; great-nephews; as well as many other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by father Norman and grandparents. Lloyd was born in Brandon, MB on January 31, 1947. He grew up on a number of military bases in Canada. He was involved with Hockey Manitoba as a coach, referee and management. Lloyd was a member of the Knights of Columbus and held various executive positions at the Council level as well as Captain Miles McDonell Assembly (4th Degree). As a youth he was involved with Boy Scouts Canada and in adult life as a leader with Cubs. Lloyd worked at Sears Canada from 1967 until 1970. He started work in 1970 at Varta Batteries and was there until 1990 when the plant closed. After a short stay at home, Lloyd went to work for Garda Security until his retirement in 2006. He enjoyed playing golf, going to the Moose Hockey games and some Bomber games. Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Tuesday, January 18, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. in St. Edward the Confessor Roman Catholic Church, 836 Arlington Street with Rev. Fr. Rainerio Sarces, presiding. In lieu of flowers, donations in Lloyd's memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 200 - 6 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6. Farewell Dear Heart
