Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCHARLES (CHARLIE) JEAN-BAPTISTE COMTE July 5, 1933 January 9, 2011 Peacefully at the age of 77, after a brief and courageous battle with cancer, we announce the passing of our father Charlie, on January 9, 2011, at the Baie St. Paul Hospital in Baie St. Paul, Quebec. He is survived by his wife Emelie, children Louise (Ray, Justin, Dylan, Tom), Andre (Donna, Juliette, Katrianna), Marc, Joseph (Brenda, Cameron, Zachary, Ashton), Paul, Jeanine (Guy, Ryan, Keenan, Megan), Suzanne (Lars, Jade, Alex, Kurtis), Jacqueline (Sebastien, Zoe), Raymond (Darlene) and Isabelle (Jeannot, Mary-Lou, Camille). He is also survived by his brothers and sisters, Marcel, Hubert (Olive), Cecile (Phillippe), Rosemarie (Bruce), Agnes (Ed), Gabriel, Henry (Maryann), Terry (Bill), Auguste (Frankie), Louis (Donna); in-laws, Mary, Tommy and Mike (Elaine) and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was predeceased by his first wife, Albina, youngest child Robert and numerous family members. Dad enjoyed having his family around him. He always said, He had a baseball team plus . Dad was a truck driver at heart. He worked at Lakehead Freightways, All-Trans Express, Kwik As Air, finally retiring from Trans-x Express. After his wife Albina passed away, he found Emelie and they married. Eventually, they moved to St. Urbain, Quebec, where he resided until the time of his passing. He was happy that all of his children made it to Quebec to spend Christmas 2010 with him. Dad You, Mom, and Robert are together at last. Take care of each other and we will be together again one day! We love you and miss you very much! The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at the Baie St. Paul Hospital, in Baie St. Paul, Quebec for their care and compassion of dad, during his illness. A very special thank you to Isabelle for going the extra mile, taking Dad and Emelie to doctors appointments and hospital. No words can express how grateful we are. Cremation has taken place and a service was held in St. Urbain, Quebec on Thursday, January 13, 2011. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, January 19, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. at our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 4588 Roblin Blvd., with interment at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, 4000 Portage Avenue. The family respectfully requests no flowers.
