Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryALLAN ROBERT CORRIGAN It is with deep sadness that the family of Allan Corrigan announces his sudden passing on Thursday, December 23, 2010. Survived by the love of his life, his beloved wife Lynn, sons Donald, Douglas, daughter Maureen (Copping) and stepson Christopher Kelly-Slauenwhite. Beloved grandfather of Jamie, Alexandra, Rebecca, Taylor, Logan, Courtney and Paige. Allan was born September 11, 1929 in Winnipeg. Graduated from University of Manitoba as a chemist. He spent 25 years with the RCMP. Before retiring, after a two year contract with the F.B.I., he and Lynn returned to Winnipeg. From 1988 - 1993 Allan worked with the Provincial Justice Department until final retirement. A private family service, guided by Rev. Boyd Drake of the West Kildonan United Church, to celebrate Allan's life, was held Wednesday, January 5 at his long time family home. One of Allan's cherished love was music, which was performed by a Solo Violinist', Liz Dyer, from the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra. A Farewell' by Alfred Lord Tennyson and, Ojibewa Prayer' (author unknown), were read by Allan's sister-in-law Jeanette Kenny from Nova Scotia. The family wishes to thank everyone for sharing Allan's incredible life, along with his many stellar accomplishments. The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in time of comfort but where he stands in time of challenge - We love you Allan.
