FRANKLIN WILLARD GORRIE June 3, 1927 - January 11, 2011 It is with our deepest sorrow we announce the passing of our husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend. Frank peacefully passed away with his family at his side at age 83 at Pinawa Hospital on January 11, 2011. He is survived by his loving wife Ollie of 59 years; children Nancy (Gordon), Vivian (Glenn), Scott (Dena) and son-in-law John, 12 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Frank was predeceased by his loving daughter Carolyn, parents Gordon and Lena Gorrie, sister Shirley Triggs, and brothers Rodney and Andrew Gorrie. Frank was born and raised in Treherne and there he met his wife Ollie. They lived in Winnipeg for 20 years during which time he worked at BF Goodrich, was a Milkman, and then went back to school to receive training as a meat cutter. In 1971 they moved to Vita to pursue farming. In 1999 they moved to Lac du Bonnet to enjoy retirement. Frank loved being surrounded by his family and friends especially playing cards. The family would like to thank Dr. Richard Van Gend, staff of the Lac du Bonnet Personal Care Home and the Pinawa Hospital for their support and kindness.
