Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryKENNETH (KEN) FRANK STAMMERS Accidentally on Thursday, January 13, 2011 Kenneth Frank Stammers passed away at the age of 51 years. He leaves to mourn his loving wife of 24 years Maureen, two sons Chris and Andrew, mother Iris, two sisters Cheryl (Dave) Casson, and Susan Snyder, sister-in-law Susan (Charles) Hunter, brother-in-law Michael (Rhonda) Bird, as well as many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his father Keith and father-in-law Richard Bird. Ken grew up in Transcona and loved spending summers at Ottermere, Ontario. He attended the University of Winnipeg, completing his BSc. in Environmental Studies. He was employed by the CNR for over 30 years and was looking forward to his retirement soon. His pride and joy were his family and he enjoyed spending every minute he could with them. He was a Beaver leader, curling coach and a proud cheerleader at all his sons' activities. He had a special place in his heart for his little friend Peyton. Ken loved to putter around outside in the garage and spent many hours fixing anything that was given to him. Celebration of Ken's life will be held on Thursday, January 20, 2011 in the Wheeler Funeral Chapel, 211 Regent Avenue, West at 2:00 p.m. Please dress casually as that would be Ken's wish. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ken's memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of your choice.
