Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryR.B. (RALPH BRIAN) ROSS We will miss him, but we are grateful he left us to a better place peacefully. RB Ross (Ralph Brian) passed away peacefully Wednesday, January 12, 2011 at approximately 2:15 p.m. at the Chinook Care Center Hospice in Calgary. He was predeceased by his father Jack M. Ross, mother Gwen Ross, and brother Jack Ross, all of Winnipeg. Left to mourn are his wife Ineke Ross of Calgary and all of her family who have become RB's family. Also in Calgary RB's niece Joan (Brian) Blondahl and children Aren and Lesley. Over the years Joanie has become another daughter to RB. Left to mourn in Winnipeg are his children Lynn (Robert) Summers, David Ross and Doug (Karen) Ross and grandchildren Megan and Sarah. Also in Winnipeg his brother Harry (Trudy) Ross and nieces Diana (Dave), Jennifer and Jamie. Sister-in-law Marina and nieces Katina (Rob) and Jacqueline (Dave). He had many great friends in Winnipeg including Bruce, Mel, Elsworth, Tony and Hugh from Toronto. R.B. was born in Winnipeg January 8, 1939 and completed High School at Gordon Bell Collegiate. He worked in a number of places but most of his work was in the floor craft industry. He left Winnipeg in the late 1970s for work and chose Calgary for his new home. He was blessed with a lot of love with the family he had there and many years of work in an industry he loved. Ineke and RB made a lot of memories with their travels to Europe and Mexico, and Alaska. Aside from the love of his wife and family, Dad's second love was music. Much of his free time was composing songs and playing music with his Band members. Thanks to the Chinook Hospice and the staff at Foothills Hospital for their professional and tender loving care. Dad you were quite a character in life, and we already miss you terribly. Now you can let the peace of God comfort you till we meet again. A celebration in honour of RB's life has been planned for Saturday, January 22, 2011. An open house will be held between 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. at 27 Hackmore Crescent.
