MAGELLA TURENNE (nee FONTAINE) Peacefully, on Sunday, January 16, 2011, Magella passed away at Victoria General Hospital at the age of 80 years. She was predeceased by her parents David and Laura (nee Joyal) Fontaine, her loving husband André Turenne, her siblings Marie-Rose Sabourin, Adélard, Paul, Hughes, Armand and Louise Hénault. Magella is lovingly remembered by her children, Monique (Bill) Rowson, Marcelle Turenne, Raymond (Gisele) and Lise (Jason Bell) Turenne, ten grandchildren Joshua, Lisa, Erik, Christian, Devin, Elise, Nathalie, Carmen, Louise and Liam. She also leaves her sisters Yvonne Moore, Noëlla Laroche, Yvette Turenne and her brother Laurent Fontaine, sisters-in-law Thérèse Fontaine, Alice Fontaine, Irène Bérard, brothers-in-law Robert (Alice) Turenne, Jos Zabloski as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Cremation has taken place and a Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, January 20, at 1:00 p.m. in the St. Pierre Roman Catholic Church, St. Pierre-Jolys, Manitoba. Interment will take place at a later date in the parish cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of one's choice.
