JOSEF (JOE) AUGUST STOCKMANN With heavy hearts the family would like to announce the passing of husband, father, and grandfather Josef Stockmann on Sunday, January 16, 2011. Josef was predeceased by his parents, two brothers, and one sister. He leaves his loving wife of 55 years, Mathilde, son Robert (Brenda), daughter Claudia (Mike) and grandson Chance. He is survived by his sister Klara (Gerhdt), brother-in-law Lawrence, and numerous nieces and nephews. Josef was a longtime member of the International Brotherhood of Boiler Makers Local 555 until his retirement. Josef enjoyed time with his family being in the nature and especially fishing. Josef was involved with the Knights of Columbus where he was the Commander for the Cardinal Falhiff Assembly #2500 and Bishop De Mazenodz. The family would like to thank everyone for their prayers and well wishes. A special thanks to Dr. Moncek and his team and the staff on U5 and U4 at Seven Oaks Hospital for all the care they provided to Josef. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, January 21, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main Street with interment and reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to either the Winnipeg Humane Society or the Special Olympics. Glen Eden Funeral Home 338-7111
