Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryROY EDWARD MCDONALD Peacefully, on Sunday, January 16, 2011, at the Portage District General Hospital, with family at his side, Roy McDonald of Portage la Prairie, beloved husband of Mary McDonald, passed away at the age of 85 years. Funeral service will be held in the St. Mary's Anglican Church on Thursday, January 20, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. with the Venerable Norman Collier officiating. Interment will take place in Hillside Cemetery at a later date. Predeceased by his parents, brothers; Harry, Nelson, Wes, Herb, sisters: Olive Towle, Ada Glover, Myrtle Roy he leaves to mourn his passing his wife of 56 years; Mary, five sons: Gerald (Donna) and children Cory and Geoff; Jim and children Pam (Clayton), Jon and Andrea (Chris); Terry (Doris) and children Ryan, Tyler and stepdaughter Pam; Wayne (Tammy) and children Danielle, Jennifer and Zachary; Kelvin (Trish) and children Jamie, Colin and stepsons Gade, Dylan and Reese; six great-grandchildren Brianna, Coleton, Gavin, Riley, Kaylyn and Shayanne. Also surviving are brothers and sisters in law: Bessie (Vic), Jacquie, Gene (Regina), Nancy and Brenda, Christina McDonald. He will be sadly missed by his former daughters-in-law Gloria, Laura and Caroline and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the funeral home for visitation on Wednesday, January 19, from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. Should friends so desire, memorial donations may be made in Roy's name to the St. Mary's Anglican Church, 36-2nd St. S.W., Portage la Prairie, MB, R1N 2A1.
