GLENDA KEELEY (nee PARROTT) Glenda passed away quietly after undergoing cancer treatment on Saturday, January 15, 2011. She was born and raised in Winnipeg, where she later trained as a registered nurse. After working in Winnipeg and Halifax, she and her husband Bob settled in Ottawa, with a brief period in Victoria, where she continued to work as a nurse before raising a family. She enjoyed all manner of crafts but excelled at knitting and quilting and always had a project on the go. She was an active member of Girl Guides of Canada for a number of years, both in Ottawa and in Victoria. Most recently, she volunteered at the R.O.H. playing music for the residents. She will be deeply missed by her loving husband, Bob, as well as three daughters, Marlene (Andrew McKay), Gayle (John Morrow), and Robin. Friends may call at the Westboro Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 403 Richmond Road, Ottawa, Ontario, on Saturday, January 22 from 1:00 p.m. until time of memorial service in the chapel at 2:00 p.m. The family has asked that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Bruyere Foundation, 43 Bruyere Street, Ottawa, ON K1N 5C8. Condolences, tributes or donations may be made at www.tubmanfuneralhomes.com
