JOAN GRACE VUKOVICH March 27, 1950 - January 17, 2011 It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Joan Grace Vukovich on Monday, January 17, 2011 at the Grace Hospital at the age of 60. Heartfelt thanks to the doctors and staff at the Grace Hospital for the excellent care she received. Joan is survived by her loving husband Steve, her two children Derek and Kristin, her sister Thora, Kristin's fiancé Jeff, her aunt Grace, and many cousins. She will be forever loved and missed by all who knew her. Joan enjoyed nature with her family and friends. Some of her favourite things were hikes at Fort Whyte Centre, and walks through Assiniboine Park, where she enjoyed having the Nut Hatches and Chickadees eat from her hand. Joan also enjoyed family vacations. She loved to travel with her husband Steve, visiting her friends in Europe and Vancouver Island. She also enjoyed playing cards, healthy cooking, and spending time with her family and friends. Celebration of Joan's life will be held on Friday, January 21, 2011 at the Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave., at 10:00 a.m. If desired, donations in memory of Joan can be made to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, (204)231-4885.
