ALLAN GROCHOWSKI Peacefully at home surrounded by his family, Allan Grochowski passed away January 18, 2011. He leaves to mourn his wife of 44 years Pauline and children Jeannette Horvath (Joseph), Nicole Mack (Doug), Michael Grochowski (Rhonda), Noella Grochowski (Robert). He is survived by his sibling Blake Peston (Angie). Also to mourn are his grandchildren Kimberly Horvath(Jon) Joseph Horvath, Kayla Horvath, Christopher Grochowski, Shawn Grochowski, Stephanie Grochowski, Casey Allan Ladouceur, Terri-Lynn Mack, Allison Mack, Joanne Mack. He was predeceased by his son, Mark Grochowski, his parents, William Grochowski, Olga Gottfried. Allan was born June 8, 1946 in Winnipeg. He was employed by Maple Leaf Construction for many years before retirement in 2009. He was known in the construction industry by co-workers as Fingers. All who knew and loved Allan will remember him as a hard worker, devoted husband and father. Dad you will be sadly missed by your family and we will always remember the game, Pull my finger. YOU WILL BE LOVED FOREVER At Allan's request, no formal service will be held. His remains were donated to the University of Manitoba for research. His ashes will be interred at a later date. Donations can be made in his honour to the Cancer Society of Manitoba.
