NELSON CATCHEWAY May 1, 1951 - January 11, 2011 Peacefully, with family by his side, our Dad, Nelson Catcheway, started his journey into the spirit world. Dad had many friends and was well known for his jokes and humour. He loved to sing and play guitar. Even if he would meet someone on the street, he would have to tell them a joke. Dad would often sit and think of new jokes and even made himself laugh. Dad leaves to mourn his wife Linda of 27 years, daughters Lindsay, Ashley (Bryden) and his son Tim (Lindsey), granddaughters Skye and Braelyn and grandson Ashton, whom he nicknamed Don't . Dad also leaves to mourn his brothers Marvin (Ester), Patrick (Charlotte), Lambert, Lawrence, Ken (Emma), Bev (Edna), Greg (Ruby), his sisters Linda (Dennis), Corinne, Janie (Willie), Delores, Freda (Ron), along with numerous nieces, nephews and Godchildren Troy and Preston, special and only aunt Isabelle Campbell. Dad was predeceased by his grandparents Pierre and Maryann Catcheway, Paul and Marie Campbell, his parents Norbert and Florence Catcheway, nephew David McKay Jr. and brother in-law Colin Kakewash. The family would like to thank Dr. Vanalstyn and staff at Dauphin General Hospital and the entire staff at Cancer Care Manitoba. A wake service was held on Friday, January 14, 2011 at 7:00 p.m., the funeral service was held on Saturday, January 15, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. Both services were held at the Skownan School Gymnasium, Skownan, Manitoba, with Father Norberto officiating.
