WALTER SETNOR With sadness, we announce the passing of our father and grandfather, at the age of 89, at Charleswood Care Centre on January 20, 2011. Walter will be remembered by his daughter Laurie Lamb (Ross), granddaughters Kayla and Erin, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews. His wife (Anne), mother, father and sisters (Anne and Julia) are predeceased. Walter came to Manitoba as a young boy from Poland with his family. They settled in the Pine Ridge area and farmed there for many years. In 1956, Walter married Anne and they lived in Transcona where Walter worked for North American Lumber and later for the City of Winnipeg until he retired. After retirement, he was able to take many driving vacations, spend much time in his garden, and enjoy his granddaughters and his special buddy Jackie the cat. We would like to express our thanks to the staff at Victoria Hospital (3rd floor) for their care of Walter last spring/summer and to the staff at Charleswood Care Centre for their care in recent months. Donations in Walter's memory may be made to a charity of your choice. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 25, 2011 at Green Acres Funeral Home. Visitation will be held at 1:30 p.m. Interment to follow in Green Acres Cemetery.
