Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySHAUNA ELIZABETH IKONEN 1976 - 2011 It is with great sorrow and sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our daughter Shauna Elizabeth Ikonen. Shauna passed away peacefully in her sleep, in her own apartment Monday night, January 10, 2011. Shauna is survived by her precious daughter Winnie Madison Fisher, brother Carson Ikonen, parents Sharon and John Ikonen, grandmother, Hilkka Ikonen, numerous aunts, uncles and cousins, and her favourite cat Cleo. She was predeceased by her grandmother, Winnie Gougeon, grandfather, Erkki Ikonen and her pet cats, Milo and Patches and dog Sami. Shauna was born and raised in Winnipeg. She went to Shamrock Elementary School and J. H. Bruns Collegiate. Shauna received her hairdressing diploma in 1996. She was an accomplished hairdresser and started her career at Ultra-Cuts and Aura and through the years she worked at several different shops. Shauna married and had a beautiful baby girl, Winnie Madison Fisher in September, 2003. She was the apple of her eye and loved her very much. Shauna had some ups and downs in her life but the birth of her daughter was the best day of her life. Everyone that knew Shauna was shocked by her passing. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., January 25, 2011 at Neil Bardal Funeral Centre, 3030 Notre Dame Avenue (across from Brookside Cemetery). In lieu of flowers, we have set up a donation fund at the Winnipeg Humane Society in Shauna's name. NEIL BARDAL INC. FUNERAL CENTRE (204) 949-2200 nbardal.mb.ca

Shauna and I worked together at A&W in 1996 and always kept in touch. She cut my hair for years. Always happy, and inviting people out with her. Just found about her passing a few months ago. I still miss her friendship to this day, awesome girl. - Posted by: Tyson (friend) on: Jan 28, 2018

Shauna and I were cousins. We didn't know each other very well. Back in 1986 me and my family drove out from Vancouver to visit family in Manitoba. One happy memory is when Shauna Carson and i played hide and seek and Shauna hid in the dryer. What a great hiding spot and a nice memory.
