Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDOROTHY LOIS DOSH HANEY Dorothy Lois Dosh Haney, 89, passed away on January 8, 2011, in Houston, Texas. She was surrounded by her four daughters, Cynthia, of Winnipeg, and Cheryl, Amy, and Robyn, all of Texas. Dorothy was a devoted member of the Church of Christ, Scientist, for more than 60 years. She was committed to life-long education. A teacher for two decades, Dorothy graduated from Northeastern State University of Oklahoma and earned her masters degree in educational psychology just following her 50th year. In addition to being a member of various social and service clubs, Dorothy embraced the Arts, gardening, and church work. Born in 1921 to Ollie and Lafayette Dosh of Inola, Oklahoma, Dorothy relished the interesting times of her changing world and tenaciously kept up with both the mounting information and the baffling technology. She will be remembered for her indomitable spirit and cherished for her unwavering support of her family. Dorothy treasured all the happy times life had to offer that were made all the more numerous by her capacity to find them in the small and unnoticed. Dorothy was predeceased by her husband of 50 years, George C. Haney, and their infant son. She is survived by four daughters and their families: Dr. Cynthia Jordan and her husband, Dr. Larry Jordan, of Winnipeg; Cheryl Senter of Houston; Amy Jill Clements and her husband, Michael, of Kilgore; and Robyn Pledger and her husband, Chris, of Santa Fe, Texas. She delighted in her 10 grandchildren: Caleb, Breanna, Tamara, Chad, Daniel, Amy Karel, Michael Jr., Jared, Hayden, and Dustin, and her two great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Kaden, with a third expected from granddaughter Breanna. She also is survived by her sister-in-law, Phyllis, of Ontario, California, widow of her beloved younger brother, John C. Dosh, who passed in October, 2010. Dorothy kept a place in her life for her nieces and nephews, grandnieces and the great-grand ones. She also is survived by her dear friends who were an integral part of her life.
